And when it doesn’t, it doesn’t.
It hasn’t rained since the organizing and the weather post. But, in case you were wondering, Mother Nature is blogger. (Or at least she reads them.) Who knew, right? Well, the very next day after my post…she sent some October-like weather my way. Isn’t that great? Woohoo mommy nature. I can’t thank you enough.
And in other-not-so-interesting-but-it’s-all-I-can-muster-up-at-this-point-in-time-news…I’m taking multi-tasking to an all new level. Instead of just getting a lousy cold, I decided to couple it with a cracked tooth. I mean, why feel just kind-of lousy when you can feel flat out rotten? That’s what I’ve been wondering. What fun would it be to just sneeze and cough and have a sore throat, when simultaneously you can have sharp shooting pain reminiscent of child birth (except that its shooting from your mouth and up into your ear)?
That my friends…is why I bloggeth so little lately.
So as to not turn this into a complete tale of woe is me…I’ll add this little organizing nugget: purchase the plastic animal for the school habitat project before committing to a particular animal. That’s right…don’t just assume you can run out and purchase a small, plastic king cobra at a moments notice, because, well, you can’t. (Or at least I couldn’t.) And boy did I try. I went to every small, plastic creature store in town…and no cobra’s were to be had. So while I could have been blogging about useful organizing tidbits (or editorializing about Mother Nature’s organizing skills) I’ve been looking for snakes in all the wrong places.
So how about you? What’s new in your world?
Sorry to hear you are so “under the weather” when you were so on top of it a few days ago. 🙁 (Thanks for helping Ms. Nature organize her duty a little better, too). As for the snake, have you tried the party place next to Pantera’s Pizza? Only take the kids if you want a jungle variety coming home with you. They have lots. I think the place is called To-Do’s (or something like that). I know sore teeth and stuffy noses don’t like to shop much, so you could try calling first? Feel better soon!
Here’s hoping you feel better soon, and that the plastic snake appears soon! YAY for fall weather…a little cooler here but getting warmer next week!
Something good will come out of it… I met my husband the weekend I had ALL 4 wisdom teeth pulled!
Also, I moved to Utah from Southern California recently, and I now know what Fall weather is.
Aby,
Feel better soon. It’s no fair getting a double whammy of sickness and pain.
As for your weather woes, it started raining here the middle of September and just let up about a week ago. We were seriously considering a course in ark building!
The weather this weekend is Florida Fall… 60’s in the evenings and up to 81 in the “hot” part of the day. It really is a blessing. Sometimes Indian summers make us thankful in cold winters. I hope your weather cooperates soon. Sometimes all we need is a change of any kind.
I hope you are feeling better very soon Aby … I know how you feel … I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth out last Thursday and it’s not fun! Still you have to keep smiling! 🙂
You could make a cobra out of Sculpy clay and bake it. Better than nothing!
