Today we’re sharing a success story from Cassandra. I asked her to share her experience taking the Organize Your Creative Space class because her space turned out so absolutely amazing! But, she was so eager to share about her successes in Organize Your Paper Clutter and It’s About Time that she sent along her thoughts on those as well. Cassandra’s blog is Cassadiva, so be sure to check it out and follow along as she keeps house “with style, spunk and spirit.” Cassandra, I am so glad you shared your experiences and photos with us. Thank you!

What were some of the challenges you were facing before you signed up for a class?

It’s About Time

Managing a work/home life balance; fitting everything into my day/week; allowing myself guilt-free leisure time. I always thought I had to be doing something productive.

Actioning and then filing paperwork as it came into the house and/or my workplace

Organize Your Creative Space

Disorganised creative supplies… I had been given boxes of scrapbooking supplies, and I had no idea how to organise it in order to best support my creative process. Reluctance to complete projects/tasks – feeling overwhelmed. A cluttered/messy work space.

How did the class(es) help you solve those challenges?

It’s About Time

The classes helped me to prioritise how I spend my time, but more importantly helped me to clarify and review my perception of ‘time’. I no longer constantly stress about time!

Organize Your Paper Clutter

I have created a Command Central station in our home, which helps me to deal with all of our incoming paperwork.

Organize Your Creative Space

I have created my dream workspace, by being stepped through the process of room design and creative storage solutions through the class. I was able to base all of this on my own creative process, and create a space that suits my particular style and needs. I have since completed many creative projects in my new space, as I know exactly what supplies I have on hand, and it is all organised in a way that makes accessing them easy. Cleaning up after project work is a breeze too, as everything has a place!

There are all sorts of organizing ideas on the internet, what prompted you to give simplify 101’s online classes a try?

Self-paced learning, the support of Aby and other classmates through the forum. After doing my first class, I knew this was a learning style that suited me. I loved the way that classes were a balance of new information, followed by tasks for me to complete. The self-paced program makes you accountable for your own learning, and is easy to follow with worksheets to complete. I have referred back to my course folders numerous times since completing the courses. They are a fabulous resource. I also LOVED the videos and found them very motivating and inspiring!!

What has been your biggest a-ha moment so far?

Aesthetically appealing organising solutions inspire creativity!

Please tell us a bit about yourself.

Family is so very important to me. I am a new mummy, and just loving the ride! I am also a doting wife, daughter, sister and aunty to my very special family. My home is my special place, and I love cooking, cleaning, organising, sewing, scrapbooking and more. I also love spending time hand-making presents, planning parties and generally adding ‘prettiness’ to everything that I do! My home is set on two acres, so I also enjoy getting outdoors and gardening.

How can readers keep in touch with you?

My blog, Cassadiva, is my platform for sharing my life with the world – home organisation is certainly centre stage, as it is a passion of mine. On my Facebook page, I share links to my blogs to keep readers up to date with what is on the blog. I also use this social media to share photos, ask advice/questions from others and generally keep in touch with my readers.
