Ketchup bottle

Yup … it’s true, I’m playing catch-up today. And I highly recommend it … it feels good to have a catch-up day every now and then, especially after a really busy month like May was for me 😉

So here’s my catch-up blog post…

Taylor

So happy he won, aren’t you? It seems to to me Taylor vs. Catherine was a game of passion versus pure talent. Passion won out. No doubt, Catherine has amazing talent and I liked her. It’s just that something was missing. Or maybe it was just that Taylor had something extra. I’d call it passion.

Creative Challenges

There are some new entries in the photo album from people who’ve taken a challenge. Thank you for sending in your pics! I love getting your emails and pictures. And it’s a funny thing about inspiration … it’s an upward spiral: inspiration creates more inspiration. So thank YOU for inspiring me with your projects. Be sure to check out Miranda’s bracelet. I love what her bracelet means to her.

Luggage Tags

here are some ideas I shared with Georgina after she posted this comment.

Hi Georgina,

I think it’d be fun if one side of the tag had a little checklist of all the things they need to remember for their game or practice … ball, shin guards, water bottle, etc. The other side could have their names and contact info. To keep them easily identifiable as far as whose is whose, a monogram letter would be cute. You could also make round tags and design them to look like a soccer ball (might make the checklist harder, but it could be cute.) And then, tie the tags with ribbon in the team’s color.

Check out some of these fun products … my favorite is the first one!

Stationery Show

Went to NYC a couple of weeks ago for the show. Wow – lots of great stuff to see! Renee P. was there … so great to meet her in person! So many great products to see … loved this one and isn’t this to die for? And I just LOVE these. Another favorite – and such nice people … which is important, isn’t it? It is. Very.

Inspiration

Love the message of Ali’s blog: embrace imperfection. Isn’t that the truth? It’s so important to embrace imperfection in creating, in organizing, in life. Truly, what a boring place it would be if everything were perfect.

Good Luck

Driving in my car today … this flew in the window at about 200 mph. OK … I really don’t know how fast it was traveling, but it catapulted into my car by a lawn mower as I was driving by with my windows open. What if it had hit me in the eye? Worse yet, what if my son’s window had been open, too, and it had hit him in the eye? It’s a funny thing … driving along … sipping my coffee … almost lose an eye. Hows that for good luck and a little morning dose of clarity?

Stick

Thank you…

…for your high fives on the race and also for your birthday wishes. I feel I need to clarify the bit about the birthday and my, uh, age. See, when my father-in-law asked how it felt to be thirty, I said I could not remember because it was SO LONG AGO. It’s true … I’m quite significantly (and alarmingly) past 30. I just felt I needed to clarify so that I didn’t feel like a 30 year old impostor … and if you ever meet me in person you wouldn’t have to scrinch up your eyebrows at me and think “huh, lots of wrinkles for 30.”

creative challenge

A new one’s coming soon to a blog near you!

I think I’m caught up on blogging…now onto everything else!
