I don’t know about where you live…but here it’s snowy and cold, making it the perfect weather for an indoor organizing project…like recipes!

This fun recipe binder is featured in the Creative Organizing column (written by me-how fun is that?) in the March / April issue of Organize magazine. I just got my copy in the mail today and the magazine looks fabulous! It has a fresh, new design and is loaded with great ideas. I can’t wait to devour mine this weekend.
So…now you have a fun little organizing project ahead of you. Recipe organization is a good thing. If your recipes are in a jumble right now, you’ll seriously love this project. Just head out, pick up a copy of Organize and create your own recipe binder this weekend. Sound like a plan?
OK…here’s where you can get a copy of the magazine: Barnes and Noble, Borders, some Targets, various grocery stores, and Meijer. Keep in mind availability varies around the country. So if you can’t find it locally, first, make a big stink and request your favorite retailer start carrying it, and then head to the Organize magazine website and subscribe. (Which I realize means you’ll have to find something else to do with your time this weekend…but at least you’ll be covered in future months, right?)
Have a great weekend!
*updated: this magazine is no longer being published*
I already have mine in binders-but the binders aren’t nearly as cute as that one!!!!!
I’m really wanting to scan them all and go all digital-just too lazy 🙁
I saw your article in the magazine and thought it was great. I definitely need to get my recipes organized, and I love the way you described how to do it.
spent 3-4 hours on my project after getting my magazine this week. i felt SO good getting all my recipes together and in order, finally! i’m not that great at sharing photos – i’m lucky if i remember my password! i can’t tell you how good it felt to get everything together – i showed hubby this morning – not sure he was as excited as i was. haha thanks for the inspiration aby!
ps.,….is that your orange kitchen aid?? love that color – mine is pink but am digging the orange!
So excited the mag’s going to hit the stands! Will stalk the stores or get a subscription. Thanks for the heads-up!
Very cute binder Aby … love it. I love the look of that mag, but I’ve just checked and they don’t do international subs … typical!! lol
Can I tell you how EXCITED I am to learn about that magazine!!! Without even seeing an issue, I just subscribed and now I’ll be haunting my mailman daily until my first copy arrives! Thanks for the tip!!!
Super, super cute binder. My recipe binder needed weeding, and now that I see that one, mine needs a make-over on the outside too! Organize magazine – sounds like my kind of publication. Sadly, I can raise a big stink at my grocery and book store, but if they don’t do international subscriptions I am out of luck. I may have to have my sister pick up a few copies and save them for me for this summer.
I’ve got to admit, that’s one area where I’m ok.. I enter favorite recipes onto my computer. I have a great recipe program (Mastercook, Betty Crocker Edition), sadly no longer updated, that comes with over 2000 recipes and allows me to keep all of my recipes in one place. Most of my cookbooks are in storage.
I love that magazine! I picked up the last issue and will definitely look for the latest with your cool project.
Way to go!
ahhhhhhh!
I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!! it’s a super cute (and util) project!
Thanks aby!
I’ve been using a plain black binder for my recipes, but had never thought about dressing it up. I can’t remember the last time I actually finished an organizing or craft project!
