Happy Monday morning to you! I hope you had a fantastic weekend filled with finishing and fun! This is the place to share what you finished this weekend. I can’t wait to hear! I loved reading your to-do lists on Friday…and look forward to doing it again this week! Okay…here’s my check in.
Finish It Friday To-Do List
1. Itemize donations for Wednesday charity pick-up. Check!
2. Wrap-up loose ends from sale. Progress made! I plan to work on this in short time segments throughout the week.
3. Start and finish organizing knitting stuff. Check!
4. Finish project plan for bathroom project…and make progress. Check! The plan is done…and Jay made good progress this weekend. The cabinets are out; the light fixture is out; the faucets have been removed and all pipes capped off. I spent some time searching online for inspiration photos. So, the next step is to figure out what we want in terms of the counter top. (BIG decision!)
Play List
1. Go to pumpkin patch. Check! So fun. It was absolutely beautiful this weekend.
2. Knit…another scarf. Progress only — no plans to finish this one. 🙂 Check! This was Friday night’s relaxation activity.
So, I love the addition of the play list. There’s something really motivating about tackling a to-do list knowing that I’ve got play scheduled, too. The past two weekends the play happened on Saturday…which made getting things done the rest of the weekend that much easier. Did you find that, too? How did you do with your to-do list this weekend? I can’t wait to hear!
Enjoy your Monday!
This is my first time participating in finish it friday! Well, I usually have a mental list but don’t write it down. I did this time:
Finish It:
Book Repairs – DONE
Destroy the paper mountain in my office – DONE
Treat for friend – DONE [now to deliver it. oops]
Baby Quilt for Niece #1
Baby Quilt for Niece #2
Play List:
GNO on Friday – DONE
Hockey Game on Saturday
So, I did half my Finish It list and the quilts were displaced by baking not only pumpkin bars, but pumpkin bread, pumpking muffins, and pizza sauce. Obviously I need to stop buying the huge cans of pumpkin. I’ll do the quilts this week.
I did item #1 on the play list, but after a long few days of being a single parent [hubby was hunting] and uncooperative kids, I decided it was in the interest of everyone’s health and safety that we have an early bedtime. So we did. And since we did something fun on Thursday night and have lots of fun plans this week, I don’t feel all that bad!
So happy to report a very productive weekend:
Faxed paperwork to DHS
Mailed paperwork for jury duty
Cleaned Marlee’s room
Sucessful Slumber/b-day party for Marlee Friday pm
Soccer Game Sat am
DH assembled daughter’s book shelf finally!
DH also assembled daycare play kitchen
Cleaned Bathroom
Played Bunco with my girlfriends Sunday night
Decluttered Dining Room
**I even got in a nap on Sat and Sun. ~ I haven’t had this productive of a weekend in a long time!
I did really good amazingly enough. I never thought I would get this much done when I was home alone with two kids and one of them with a cold!
1. Organize stuff for charity – check. I added some more to it by clearing out the hall closet and linen closet. My car is absolutely stuffed…
2. Grocery shopping- check. And I survived.
3. Finish laundry – biiiig CHECK! The hampers are completely empty!
4. Wash windows – oh no, I don’t do that when it is below freezing (I live in Sweden and it is COLD here!)
And the play list:
1. Cinnamon buns – check. I even managed not to intervene too much when the kids were at it so the buns look kind of funny but they taste great and the kids had fun!
2. Pool with kids – check. I think that’s where the little one got his cold.
3. Ice skating – CHECK! And she loved it, the whole girl was a big smile 🙂
4. Have Tina over for dinner – check but we had lunch instead. She brought her puppy who was allowed to “visit” someones house for the first time. She behaved splendidly!
This finish it Friday thing is absolutely great! It gives me so much inspiration. And I get so much done! Thank you!
Oh, I forgot – I didn’t carve pumpkins because they won’t arrive in the shops until tomorrow. And we live way to far up north to have pumpkin patches to go to 🙁
1) Attend to the community yard cleaning happening – CHECK, eventhough slept late and most things were done allready, ups..
2) Wash windows from inside (outside is done allready)- CHECK
3) Sew a Xmas table cloth from an old curtain -CHECK (and I realised I can use the same table cloth on the yearly crayfish party too!)
And the playlist (so fun!)
1) eat popcorn – CHECK, ate the whole bag 🙂
2) go to a house warming party on Saturday – CHECK, had lots of fun
This was great and effective, I think I’ll play again.
Loved having the list to keep me focused.
1. Clean living room blinds. DONE & cleaned inside of windows & vacuumed behind & under couch & end table
2. Set up EHD & automatic backup on new laptop. DONE
3. Inventory VHS tapes. DONE & put on spreadsheet
4. Type up cookie recipe. DONE
5. Upload Sept photos to Shutterfly. DONE & ordered prints
I only finished one of the two items on my play list, but that’s ok because I substituted something else for #2.
1. Scrap Coca-Cola layout. DONE & blogged about it.
2. Create Aug ’10 monthly digital layout. DID NOT DO, instead I cleaned up and re-organized some of my scrapbooking supplies into new containers I purchased recently!
To do list:
1. Finish the plaque I started making last weekend – done. That was for my Dad, and he loved it.
2. Switch my main bank account over to one with no monthly fees – done.
3. Order in a book I want at the bookstore – done.
4. Alter the flowergirl dress and a pair of trousers for my boyfriend’s brother’s wedding – cut and pinned, but sewing was delayed by a very long lunch on Sunday. 🙂 However, it is now Tuesday morning here, and I managed to get the flowergirl dress finished after work last night!
5. Sort through and edit more paperwork – made some progress.
Play list:
1. Lunch out with my family on Sunday – done, and it was a great day out!
I went on a scrap retreat this weekend and made a mental list. I forgot some photos, so I didn’t get it all done, but did pretty well:
8 digi pages done
started 8 more traditional pages
finished halloween wreath
finished pumpkins
2 hybrid pages done
attended event of friend
made sourdough pancakes
Ok, I am really late checking in for this one but I am having trouble with my computer and accidentally deleted my comment 3 times and got so mad I left it for a few days! lol.
1. Register for charity pick up. CHECK
2. Organise office. Nope but realised most of it is my husband’s stuff so it is on his to do list now!
