Happy Monday morning my friends. It’s time for the Monday morning check-in where we share our progress on our to-do lists over the weekend. I hope you had a happy and productive weekend! Ours was goood…but very full. Here’s my update on my Finish It Friday list:
Play List:
- Boot Camp. Check!
- Attend a time management seminar. Check! (And it was great.)
To Finish:
- Laundry. Check!
- Start + finish cleaning the house. Check!
- Spend 30 minutes on some paperwork that needs to be done. Check! (But there’s still more to-do. That’s going on my list for today.)
- Update my master project list. Check! (And wow, I have a lot of projects I’d like to-do. Glad I’m bringing back Finish It Friday. 😉 )
Other notable finshes: found a new comforter for Kailea, potted some mums on the front porch, and put together a bag of donatons for the food pantry. Hooray!

I didn’t post my list on Friday but I did finish two big projects that have been haunting me And they were things that I wanted to do. I finished refinishing a table and a chair. Thanks for the encouragement!
So glad to have this to keep me accountable this weekend!

2. Paperwork for work – check!
3. Make jewelry hangers – check!
4. Menu plan and grocery shop for the week – check (finishing up today)!

1. Watch my daughters soccer game – check!
2. Shawnee BBQ Contest – check!
3. City Fall Festival – check!
4. Exercise with neighbor – check!
I actually got a few more things done that I forgot to add to my lists!

1. Date night with Husband. Check!
2. Bring Ty to the park. Check!
3. Get a salted caramel mocha from Starbucks. No check.
4. Dinner with the in-laws (yes, this is fun). Check and we watched our local football team win!
FINISH
1. Finish paint chip art. No check but I made good progress!
2. Finish and post to blog. No check.
3. Take patio pics (for blog). Check!
4. Clean napkin rings. This project was scraped.
5. Purge recipe binder. Check!
6. Make placemat pillows. Check!
7. Finish veneer light feature. No check.
8. The usual housework and laundry. Check and check!
9. Finish a necklace. Almost a check.
I didn’t get everything done but I made a large dent in my list. I’m feeling good about my progress and the week is looking up.
Not bad I got 5 1/2 of 7 done. LOL
Well my limited list proved a success
PLAY
1. get out for a walk in the sunshine before autumn really kicks in ~ CHECK ~ and as a bonus this week in England is hot, our Indian summer!
2. see my god daughter ~ CHECK 🙂
TO DO
1. return a long overdue library book and post a parcel ~ DONE
2. tidy my bedroom ready for the week ahead ~ DID TODAY, this morning.

Hubby fall cleaned our foyer so that’s off my to-do-list. That was a huge help!!!
Hubby did grocery shopping since I wasn’t feeling well.
I was so excited about Finish It Friday starting. It gets me motivated and the list keep me on track. I think I need to update my master project list. Maybe I’ll add it to next weeks list. Thanks Aby!
Hey Aby! I love Finish It Friday! I don’t always post my lists, but it definitely gets me thinking about them. This weekend was actually good:
Play:
3 volleyball games for middle daughter – check (they WON the tourney!)
Shop with oldest daughter – check
Family dinner Sunday – check
To Do:
Clean out spice cabinet – check
Purchase replacement spices – check
Grocery – check
Replace lightbulbs in closet (hubby) – check
Replace lightswitch in bedroom (again, hubby) – check
Of course there are still lots of things “to do” but I feel really good about my organization in the kitchen. It’s been an ongoing project that I have made a good dent in now. 🙂

Great job on your list!
I didn’t get as much done as I wanted (usually the case). I taught piano lessons, accompanied a friend, actually cooked dinner on Sunday, and did a little bit of cleaning.
I love how Finish it Friday really makes me FOCUS on what I want to accomplish over the weekend. And it’s so motivating to be accountable to someone other than myself ;).
PLAY:
1. Family pizza night with either a movie or some new shows we’ve recorded this week. – CHECK!
2. DS soccer scrimmage on Saturday. – CHECK!
3. Hang out with kids. – CHECK (we went to a movie on Saturday afternoon)!
TO DO:
1. Lesson plans – CHECK!
2. Laundry – CHECK!
3. Finish small pantry organizing project – CHECK (turned out to be “not so small” – very glad to have it done)!
4. Make progress on financial paperwork – CHECK!
5. Write an email to a friend. – CHECK!
6. Write an email to my cousin. – CHECK!
7. Grade DS’s writing assignment. – not done, should be taken care of today.
8. Sign up for Organized Holiday class. – CHECK (super-excited)!
9. Get out my Christmas binder and start tweaking. – CHECK (not much tweaking done, but I’ve made a start, and sometimes that’s the hardest part)!
Looking forward to next Friday already 🙂

Also finished a few small projects and did a tidy up of our file cabinets. Felt productive.
Here is how my weekend went…
To Do:
1. Clean and organize storage unit.– Didn’t get to it
2. Clean and organize kitchen — yes
3. Clean bathroom — no. I will do on Wednesday.
4. Cook for the week — I made one major meal, dessert and a late small dinner 🙂
5. Grocery store and dairy — yes
Play:
1. Apple Days Festival — yes, but it was not very fun so it wasn’t really play 🙁
1. Prepare supply packets for card-making program I’m giving at the library next week. (Got those almost done at work today.)
2. Attend a visitation. :-[ (Check.)
3. Attend a marching band competition. (Check.)
4. Get meal plan organized for next week when DH will be out of town on business. (1/2 check. Got together some ideas for the critical days.)
5. Spend some time relaxing on Sunday! (Unfortunately, not as much as I needed, but def. had a fun family dinner and watched a DVD, so I’m counting this as a check.)
Busy weekend! Started laundry, took one child to dance class, while I took another child to pick up a new book. Dropped off one kid at Religious Education and shopped with another child for school clothes, Dropped off one child at a friend’s house for a sleepover and shopped for hubby’s anniversary present for next week(harder than you may think), watched a movie with one child, picked up hubby from the airport, Finished laundry and prepped for this week. Wow, that took a long time to write.
