Just a quick Monday morning check in post to see how you did with your Finish It Friday plans. Here’s my update:
- Finish getting ready for Monday’s appointments and speaking engagement. (Done!)
- Finish my 2010 list of 101 goals for my online goals workshop. (Done! And by the way…registration for the Goals workshop closes this evening. So if you’ve been thinking about signing up…sign up today before it’s too late. This is the only time this year this workshop will run…and it’s a great sessions—super active, inspiring and supportive group of participants.)
- Finish laundry. (done!)
- (Start) and finish cleaning the house. (Done…and better yet, with the help of family.)
- Finish gathering documents for the corporate tax return. (Not done…because I realized I am missing some info from my accountant. The official deadline is Friday…so not to worry, there’s still time. Whew.)
So how did you do this weekend? I hope you got lots done and had lots of fun, too! 🙂
My “Finish It” list for this weekend:
#1 finally getting the Christmas stuff into boxes and OUT of the house (Done!)
#2 setting the dining table (Done!)
#3 dusting and vacuuming common areas (Done!)
#4 plan February’s school lessons/crafts (Crafts – Done! Lessons – Notsomuch.)
#5 setting up my NEW laundry area 😉 (Done!)
I’m really pleased with how much I was able to get done this weekend. I love starting the week fresh with a nice clean house!

Well, I found that I already had a resume done on my computer, which was my one goal for the weekend. So it’s done, but all I can take credit for is absent-mindedness.
I didn’t comment on Friday but I still participated! My one big goal was to put our new bed together. We bought it last Sunday and it had been sitting in boxes in our hallway for a week! My fiance and I planned to do it together on Sunday but he had an emergency with a friend and couldn’t help.
Your FIF posts have been so inspiring, I decided I would tackle it myself anyway. And I did! Now, we have a beautiful new bed and no boxes in the hallway! I even managed to still clean house!
Next weekend, donating our old bed.
Well, as I figured, clearing the clutter from the living room rug was a bit more than I had time for. I did manage to make a big dent and am pretty pleased with what I did accomplish. It helps that I prioritized stuff by how much it bugged me. the two folded lawn chairs went first, double whammy – they bugged me the most and they cleared a large space at the same time! They still need a home, but at least they’re in the storage room which is the right room for them. Feeling much better even though I’m not done.

i had no weekend goals except for recovering from surgery last week. i just wanted to comment and say that i’m loving your newsletters and posts and resolutions! they’re very motivating. so thanks!
Well, for my first every Finish It Friday, I guess I did OK. Gonna’ need to tighten up my organization for the next one though…
* Finish putting away the items from the under stairs box sort (partially done — the things that go back under the stairs are away, items for other rooms aren’t)
* Take down and store Christmas items (Done!)
* Hang the new blinds in bedroom, office, family room and TV room (started, but can’t finish until we go buy an extender for our drill — who said IKEA things are always easy to install?)
* Move the TV/DVD from office to main floor for exercise (not done — took a back seat to the sudden and surprising need for a new garbage disposal complete with electrical complications on installation…)
Next time…
Aww, bummer! That sounded like a fab workshop. Well, maybe NEXT year! 🙂
