So, for all you who joined me in the first ever Finish It Friday—first a big “woohoo!” It sure does feel good to check things off that to-do list, doesn’t it? A check mark always feels good, but when that check mark is next to something that was lingering…oh, wow, that feels really good!
So, I got the finish it bug this weekend, and finished up a few other lingering projects, such as:
- I finished painting the window trim on our front door windows. This has been on my mental to-do list for a really long time (probably over a year.) It has been on my real project list for the entire spring. Last weekend I started the project (with Jay’s help) and this weekend, finished her up! Yippee.
- I finished up my butterfly mobile! Hooray—I’m so happy to have that one done!
- I put the bed skirt on Collin’s bed. Why I dreaded that so much, I haven’t a clue. But now it’s finished!
- I made reservations for my trip to Nashville / Alabama next weekend. I have needed to coordinate details with my Dad and sister for over a week…and now it’s done! Hooray!
So, how about you? Did you finish what you set out to complete on Friday? I can’t wait to hear! If you didn’t play along this time…there will be more chances! Oh, and next Friday, keep your eyes open for a really great Freebie Friday!!
Yes i finished! Well as finished as i could be. I put together my whole project and now I just have to add photos into the pockets. Its a great feeling as this project has been sitting in a box since December and now i walk into my scrap space and there is an empty spot where it used to be and it feels good!
Look forward to the next Finish it Friday!
I did two things that have been driving me crazy & feel soooooo good to get off my list. I did the final touch-ups on a bookcase I painted (so now the paint can is put away too). And I did a bunch of hand washing, mostly some winter items that couldn’t go in the machine (so now I can put all the winter stuff away till later). Neither one was difficult or time consuming. I have no idea why they took so long to get to.
I finished organizing my shed! It is funny that I have been putting this project off for awhile but it only took about 20 minutes to complete. All that energy I wasted feeling overwhelmed because I had so many unfinished projects could have been better used elsewhere!
I kept the momentum going this weekend and finished several other nagging projects. I think I’ll turn Friday into my Finish It Friday every week!
Hi Aby I am still desperatley searching for a copy of the Organized and Inspired Scrapbooker. I have no luck. Have you heard of anyone with a extra copy to sell or of any place that has it in stock. I have to return the copy I got from the library it is 3 weeks over due so I will have to pay a late charge but boy it’s been worth it. Please respond back to me here and I will check back often. Believe it or not there is none on ebay either…..Ha,Ha!!! Thank you so much, Tracie
Tracie,
I don’t know of any available copies of The Organized & Inspired Scrapbooker. I’m so sorry…I wish I did. 🙂
If anyone reading this has a copy they’re ready to pass along or has seen one available recently, please let me know.
Thanks!!
Aby
I too checked some things off of the old To-Do List. I did a complete paint updating throughout the house, very slowly mind you, but by the time I finished the walls, I had definitely run out of steam and just did not have the will to do all of the window trim. Last week though, it has been my project! I might have missed the Friday deadline, but Saturday, oh Saturday was the day. I finished Woohoo! Trim paint is fresh and new.
Sure did! Got the tops of my cupboards in the kitchen emptied, two bags of stuff out of the house, and emptied out my vases. Moving MIL in within the next month and these chores have been hanging over my head forever! Oh and I forgot, used some manly tools and shortened three shelves in the pantry to hang organization baskets on them! That’s been several years in the waiting.
I did get my son’s kindergarten file created and placed in my ready file next to his brothers’ files. Hooray.
