Announcing the Command Central On-The-Go Digital Notebook

Update: Springpad will be shutting down on June 25, 2014. You can read the announcement here at Springpad Says Goodbye. Springpad has put together a migration tool so you can move your data over to Evernote. I did this with my data and it worked fine.

Update June 30, 2014: Springpad has now completely shut down their app and all web services. All links from this page to their website have been removed.

I’m excited to announce that I’ve partnered with the popular personal organizer app Springpad to create a customized digital notebook to help you organize your life on-the-go! If you love my home management binder for organizing paperwork at home, you’ll love this on-the-go digital version.

Command Central On-The-Go - new notebook from Springpad and simplify 101 to organize your life on the go!

The notebook includes sections for all your tasks and lists, as well as all the other information you need to get your errands done hassle-free. The app is free and you can use it on the web, iPhone, iPad, Android, Kindle, and Nook.

About Springpad

Founded in 2008 and used by more than 5 million people, Springpad is a personal organizer app that helps you manage the overload of information, projects, ideas and recommendations that you encounter daily. Springpad is available for free on iPhone and iPad, Android, Kindle, Nook and on the Web. For more information, visit www.springpad.com.

How to Use My Free Notebook

This on-the-go reference notebook, the digital companion to my Household Reference Binder, is a portable notebook where you can store everything you need while you’re out and about. It will help you:

  • Manage Tasks: Jot down and check off all your errands.
  • Go Shopping: Never forget your shopping list again—just save them in the Lists tab and you’ll have them with you on your phone.
  • Track Important Information: Save household measurements, product info and other reference items you need on the go.
  • Remember Dates: Save important birthdays and holidays plus your gift buying notes, so you have them with you when you’re ready to shop.
  • Tips from me! Check out the Aby’s Tips section for special organizing tips from me!

Aby – when I follow the link to the Springpad notebook, it takes me to a notebook called Cooking Haven. Maybe something is not quite right?

Forgive my lack of technical knowledge, but I thought this would be on my iPhone like the sample photo shows, and it is a web page. Is that how I would access this now, by logging on with my phone to the internet and then using the page?? Thanks!

Thanks for your question Merry. It can be used both on your computer / web page, and also via an app on your iPhone. If you access the site via your iPhone then you can download the app.

It was a little hard to actually track down, but totally worth it!

Thanks for sharing this Debra! Somehow the link reverted back to the cookbook. I have fixed that now. Glad you found it…and found it worth the hunt! :)

Just downloaded this on iPad and android phone both! Thank you so much!
One question–I cannot figure out how to delete the sample lists and to-dos. Can anyone help me? I really only want my REAL to-dos on there, not mine plus the samples!

What, you don’t want some extra stuff to do? ;)

If you click on anything (a note, task, etc.) at the top there’s a bar (on mine it is green.) In the far right corner at the top (in that green bar) there’s a menu called edit. That’s a drop down menu that includes “delete.”

Let me know if that works for you.

Hi! I just found your site…LOVE IT! However, when I clicked on the springpad link it says they’re closing down…is Evernote what you recommend as the replacement or is there a better choice? Forgive me if this has already been asked & answered & I just haven’t run across yet…didn’t see anything under announcements or here:(

                    Hi, Kathy,

Thanks so much for your comment. I should have updated this post right away when I learned that Springpad was closing down…but didn’t think to do that. Thanks for prompting me to do so.

I did Export my data from Springpad to Evernote so I wouldn’t lose anything. I think that if you are already using Springpad that this is the best choice…at least at first so you don’t lose any data. I can’t really recommend any other app over Evernote as Springpad and Evernote are the two I have used. I really liked Springpad, so I’m sorry to see it go.

                    Aby
